Soy María Mulder, nací en Buenos Aires en 1988. Estudié diseño textil y actuación. En el 2014 descubrí el arte de la joyería y desde entonces me formo en este oficio maravilloso. En el 2016 armé mi taller en Paternal, lugar donde vivo, trabajo y también doy clases.
Me atrae el carácter artesanal de los objetos y el proceso en que una idea toma forma hasta convertirse en una pieza real, tangible. Me aburre lo repetitivo por eso hago principalmente piezas únicas. Piedras, flores y animales son grandes inspiraciones dentro de mi universo. Encuentro gran belleza en las síntesis, en el humor y en el rastro de lo hecho a mano.
Elegí la joyería como profesión porque me enamoré de sus herramientas y me encanta poner cosas pequeñas en cajitas.
I'm María Mulder, I was born in Buenos Aires in 1988. I studied textile design and acting. In 2014, I discovered the art of jewelry making and have been honing my skills in this wonderful craft ever since. In 2016, I set up my studio in Paternal, where I currently live, work and also teach.
I'm drawn to the artisanal nature of objects and the way an idea takes shape until it becomes a real, tangible piece. Repetition bores me, that's why I mainly make one-of-a-kind pieces. Stones, flowers, and animals are major inspirations within my creative world. I find great beauty in synthesis, humor, and the trace of the handmade.
I chose jewelry making as my profession because I fell in love with its tools and love putting small things in little boxes.
